This is us – a team of friendly, service-obsessed, fun-loving folk, who may enjoy the odd G&T from time to time.
We could spend this section churning out corporate cliches like ‘results-driven’, ‘revolutionary vision’ and ‘striving for excellence’, but that’s not really us. So we’ll keep it simple.
Founded in 2018 by Charlotte Pitts, The HR Consultants is an independent HR consultancy firm originally based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, now has its office in Broadway, Worcestershire. We care deeply about what we do and are proud to deliver independent, jargon-free HR support and advice that helps small businesses thrive. We also just happen to be really, really good at it.
Get in touchCharlotte founded The HR Consultants in 2019 after a long career in the world of corporate HR, honing her leadership and strategic people skills as Global Head of HR (TUI) and Group HR Director (The Simplify Group).
Charlotte is passionate about enabling organisations to succeed through their people and loves working with leaders to achieve business growth and success and make them places that their people really do love to work.
When not working, Charlotte has a busy family life which she fills with as many holidays and trips as possible, and will often be found out for a run in the Warwickshire countryside.
Jen loves speaking to businesses and is super curious to understand their strategies and goals, so that she can use her years of experience (yep she really did start young!) to make sure that all people activity aligns and is in rhythm with the business!
Working with leaders, Jen will coach and influence thinking to make sure that businesses can see growth whilst their people remain engaged and focused on delivery! Getting a rather peculiar buzz out of complex HR matters and law!
When not working, Jen can be found in the gym or binge watching any action filled dramas, whilst searching for her next holiday.
I have worked in recruitment for more years that I care to mention! Undertaking recruiter roles in both in small, large private and public companies.
At The HR Consultants my role is Recruitment Expert, providing advice for your company’s recruitment needs and sourcing the very best candidate for your team.
Outside of work you will find me standing on the side of a football pitch, rugby pitch or athletics track, driving my son around the country for fixtures and then washing the muddy kit! When not doing that I like to watch the sunrises / sunsets and head to the Norfolk beaches. On my breaks from doing laundry, I have abseiled off a 150ft building and have taken part in 10 mile walks for charity.”
Laura has 10 years HR experience working in the Agricultural and Automotive industries before moving to the world of Consultancy. She enjoys working with a variety of clients with varied HR challenges and working collaboratively with Leaders to improve the culture of their organisations. She loves and the fact that no two days are ever the same! When Laura is not at work, she is busy being Mum to her two young boys, and enjoys long walks or a run while listening to music or catching up with friends.
I have over 20 years of HR and recruitment experience in varying sectors including engineering, financial and legal services, with the last few years honing my skills in the wonderful world of consulting, which I love.
In my role, I support clients in their strategic people planning; developing their people plan and ensuring activity to really drive business growth through people.
I also like to roll my sleeves up and develop employment contracts, HR policies and processes, which ensures I’m kept fully up to date with any lovely legal changes! I pride myself on the relationships I build with my clients, and being an extension to their in-house leadership team.
Outside of work I’m usually found ferrying my 3 children to various activities, or parties. I also love my Peloton bike especially an 80s or 90s music spin class!
I’ll go down in history for telling everyone on a team call that I’m a real nerdy gamer (when I get the chance); I love to get on the old X Box and have a blast on some silly game. I also love to play Mario Kart with my small people, but they don’t get to win very often!
