HR Consultant

Here at The HR Consultants, we help businesses to create a place that their people love to work.

We’re a boutique consultancy based in Broadway, close to the borders of Warwickshire/Worcestershire/Gloucestershire working predominantly with SMEs nationwide, to provide outsourced HR support.

We’re a small business, with big ambitions, which is why we are looking for another superstar member of the team to help us deliver awesome service to our fabulous clients.

This is a pivotal role in the business, providing best-in-class service to our clients in terms of HR expertise as a true business partner. In addition, as a member of a small team, you’ll also be talking to potential new clients when they enquire, to assess their needs and determine how our services can support them.

Being a consultant is the same – but different, to working in the corporate world!

Having a client group that is made up of different business owners is a bit like working for a big company and business partnering with various department heads. The same principles apply – clients come first and we make sure we’re always adding value and supporting them to achieve their business objectives.

Working in a small business means you will from time to time be expected to turn your hand to different things to help with the running of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

Business partnering

This role will be focused predominantly on clients that require a combination of operational and strategic people support, whether in a project capacity or as an ongoing retained client. You’ll be the dedicated point of contact for your clients and will provide a rapid response to enquiries via phone and email, and occasionally visit client sites. In addition, you’ll nurture these client relationships by holding regular check-ins to ensure we’re really adding value to their business and that they are fully supported with all their people challenges.

Supporting our growth

To ensure our ongoing success and presence in the market, all members of the team get involved in answering inbound enquiries from prospective new clients, networking, writing blog posts and sharing content on LinkedIn. These are potentially things you won’t have done before, so full training and support will be provided.

Who we’re looking for:

The number one thing we look for in our people is positivity, so if you’re not a ‘glass half full kind of person, I’m afraid you’re not what we’re looking for.

You’ll have at least 10 years of experience in HR, extensive experience working as an HR Business Partner, where you will have partnered with business heads, working with them to deliver their strategic objectives via the people plan that you will have developed.

You’ll have experience in all areas of generalist HR from recruitment, to ER, to employee engagement, L&D and everything in between.

You need to have lots of initiative, be communicative, good at detail and above all, be happy to get stuck in!

What you can expect:

We’re a friendly bunch – we love what we do, and we work hard for our clients. We know that work/life balance is important so in return for your hard work and positivity, you’ll get a generous salary with bonus potential, 25 days holiday, a monthly audiobook subscription, and encouragement to get away from your desk and get some fresh air daily during working hours.

This could be full-time or part-time, we’re not fixed on hours so will be flexible for the right candidate, but you need to be within commuting distance of Stratford-upon-Avon (and surrounding areas) as this will be a blended office and home working arrangement.

If this sounds like the kind of opportunity that makes you go ‘oooooh yeah’, then contact us to apply, send your CV, along with a cover email telling us what your salary expectations are, and why this is the job for you.

Job Type: Permanent

Hours and salary flexible dependent on the candidate.
